Secret new project!

Haven't abandoned this blog, just working on a new MOC that will also be rather large. Been spending a lot of time using the Lego Digital Designer (LDD) and looking up pictures online for my next creation. Hope to start soon. Pic will be posted.

Please support my Lego project

I submitted my Stealth Millennium Falcon as a possible set to the Lego Cuusoo website. It needs at least 10,000 supporters to have the possibility of it becoming an actual set. I know the odds are greatly against me since it is just a variation on a discontinued set, but what the heck? Go here: http://lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/13512

and support it, please.

I love it when a plan comes together.

There are still a few small placeholder pieces that need to be swapped out with black or dark blue tiles, but other than that, this massive build is done. I'm also waiting on one more TIE pilot to put into the cockpit.
Turret gun looks better now that most of the not black parts have been replaced.

Finished up the rear engine section with two more mirror image panels:
Completed rear engine section with additional hoses added just because. Stilla few technic pins I will have to replace when the black ones arrive.

Close up on rear engine section and hoses. I'll probably be adding more hoses later because they look really good.

Looking at the engines from the front. Also got the parts in to replace the gray and red parts in the cannon assembly.
I'm slowly getting in the parts to replace all the dark red parts with black or dark blue. It gets better every day!

Progress

More work done on the cockpit

Here it is finally attached to the main hull. Got a little test pilot working out the details.

Incorporated some more hoses after adding two more back engine sections.

more constructionis

Construction is easier when all the parts arrive! Got a little more done this weekend.

This is the beginnings of the cockpit section

One of the upper hull sections

One side...

...and the other side. Mostly identical.

This will be the rear center engine section.

And here it is attached to the rest of the ship.

Still waiting on parts from overseas. Can't really do much more until they arrive. Hopefully they will be here soon.

Not much work done in the last week. I've been swapping out dark red technic pins and 1x1 clips with black ones. Almost done with that. Still waiting on parts to come in. Also need more funds so click through some ads on this page or buy some parts from my bricklink page here: http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=furling

It looks better in black

This is what it looks like with most of the bright red pins replaced with black pins. While none of them will be seen when the model is done, it still bothered me.

More work

Here are pictures with both the top wing panels in place. Both sides now have added grill tiles.

Close up of the three 2 x 3 plates that hold the top panels to the main frame from the top

Same idea on the other side:

This is the begining of the top center panel. This piece will hold the second half of my modified section that will cover up the gaping hole in the front center of the ship. I won't be able to finish this part until some more parts arrive but enough of it will be done to be able to put it on the model.

At this point I'm waiting on black pins with bushings and black 1 x 1 modified tile clips. The dark red ones look good, but the black / dark blue combo looks better so I'm going to try to replace all the red/ dark red parts except for the engine tiles, which still look cool.
